    good breakfast variety

The breakfast had a decent variety, which was a nice touch.

The bed was too hard, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

easy access to parks and nearby attractions for weekend strolls

I had a fantastic experience with a wonderfully warm staff and a room that had everything I needed. The excellent location made it a breeze to explore Cranbrook Country Park just under 3 km away, perfect for a leisurely walk, and the beauty of Poltimore House, only about 2.5 km from the hotel, was a delightful highlight on my city stroll. each day began with a delicious breakfast that set me up nicely for my adventures around Exeter and its landmarks, making my weekend feel special.

    great location
    dated decor
    weak shower

my room was delightful n clean, loved the tea makin facilities n the gorgeous shortbread. staff were super friendly n made me feel welcome. the location was perfect for the wedding i was goin to n it was nice to have a key for the outside door. breakfast chats with the staff were nice too, really enjoyed it.

only thing was that the decor felt a lil dated and the shower could use some more pressure.

    Welcoming atmosphere and great food

The staff truly made this stay memorable with their warm hospitality, offering a cozy environment to relax after a long day. The room was a delightful blend of modern comfort and traditional charm, and I particularly enjoyed the hearty breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. My only wish is for a little more pressure in the shower.

    spacious apartment

    great breakfast
    dated decor
    weak shower

The two-bedroom apartment was unexpectedly spacious and well-furnished, ideal for my business stay. The fully equipped kitchen was beneficial for preparing quick meals, and the shower offered excellent water pressure. Breakfast in the pub exceeded expectations, featuring a variety of fresh options. The staff were particularly accommodating and friendly.

    Minor issues with outdated decor.

    beautiful apartment
    delightful atmosphere
    local roadworks
    limited parking
    noisy surroundings

The welcoming ambiance complemented by the delightful atmosphere stood out during my stay. The beautiful two-bedroom apartment was well-equipped, and the Full English breakfast made each morning special. The staff went above and beyond, offering helpful service and even accommodating my dog with some sausages. it was a bit of a challenge to navigate due to local roadworks, which added time to our outings.

    cozy pub
    delicious food
    clean room
    stairs access
    hard bed
    dark staircase

This place felt like a home. Arriving after a long drive, the warm welcome made all the difference. My room had a comfy bed and a nice big TV. Loved the clean, traditional decor with modern touches. The shower pressure was great, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. They even prepared a packed lunch for me since I missed breakfast. A charming pub ambiance and lovely staff enhanced the experience. access involved a lot of stairs, which could be an issue for some. The heavy bed in the master room needed repositioning, which improved things significantly. a nightlight for the staircase would be a nice touch. a fantastic stay, but a few adjustments could make it even better.

Absolutely enjoyed the quaint atmosphere, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, making it feel like a home away from home. It was a little tricky navigating the steps in the apartment, and a bedside night light might help. the warm service truly made the experience memorable.

    Friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

I struggled with the uncomfortable bed during my stay, which made for restless nights. The space around the bed was cramped, causing me to bump into it repeatedly. The lack of basic amenities like toilet rolls upon arrival was frustrating and made me feel unvalued as a guest.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement

We stayed for a night and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent but could have been heartier. I'd recommend opting for local beverages, as the wine options fell short. Future guests should explore nearby eateries for better dining.

The staff were incredibly accommodating, especially with our group of four babies! The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, and the food was surprisingly good, which made our family stay enjoyable. We loved that the dining area was family-friendly and welcoming.
